Toyota supplier Denso wants to buy $8 bln Rohm, but the power semiconductor specialist has entered talks with Toshiba and Mitsubishi Electric. The three-way tie up would fortify the fragmented industry against Chinese rivals. Tokyo’s looser approach to antitrust issues helps too.
